The first show at which all the tickets for the Sibiu International Theater Festival (FITS) 2022 were sold is „Faust”, the impressive production of the „Radu Stanca” National Theater Sibiu.
Even though its premiere took place 15 years ago, „Faust”, by J. W. Goethe, directed by Silviu Purcărete, continues to seduce theater lovers around the world and is the first sold-out show since this edition of the International Theater Festival from Sibiu.
In its 29th edition, FITS takes place this year between June 24 and July 3, this year’s theme is BEAUTY, and the program and tickets can be found on the website: www.sibfest.ro
„I am proud that, once again, a Romanian production, a production from here, in Sibiu, is among the most sought after in the FITS program this year as well. At the same time, all tickets are sold like hot cakes and I want to thank the FITS audience for their generosity and openness to the most varied productions, from Nohjaponez to fado, from circus to concerts in places of worship. , from established actors to young people at the beginning of the road. Unfortunately, the halls in Sibiu have a capacity limited to a few hundred seats, so those who postpone the choice of shows to see at FITS might be surprised that they will not find tickets, „said Constantin Chiriac, President of FITS and Director General of TNRS.
At the performance on July 2, tickets to „Faust” are already sold out, and spectators still have the chance to see this show at FITS only on July 3, but even in this case there are very few seats.

The house is an adaptation after Maxim Gorky staged at the National Theater „Satiricus Ion Luca Caragiale” by director Dumitru Acriș. The story on stage is based on the relationship between parents and children, their dreams and aspirations, maternal love, but also many of the challenges that any type of relationship imposes. Clara Haskil – Prelude and Fugue. It is no surprise that this show will be among the first with sold out tickets to FITS 2022. The beautiful, but also talented Laetitia Casta, brings on the stage of the Sibiu Philharmonic the story of the famous pianist of Romanian origin. The French actress is accompanied on stage by Isil Bengi, a multi-award winning pianist.
Macbeth is the second best-selling TNRS show on FITS 2022. Director BotondNagy directs William Shakespeare’s famous play and presents a unique insight into the Macbeth – Lady Macbeth couple.
